This two-year program uses the Yamaha Keyboard as the main vehicle of instruction. Activities include ear training, keyboard harmony, music theory, singing, ensemble playing, keyboard repertoire, and improvisation. Classes meet each week and run approximately 50-60 minutes.
Instructors: Yamaha instructors must pass a comprehensive musical examination and attend regular Yamaha-sponsored seminars in order to gain and retain their teaching certification. Teachers are often observed and evaluated by Yamaha Representatives in order to refine and improve their teaching skills.
Grouping: Students are carefully matched according to age, skill development, and musical goals. Classes are sometime regroup to provide the best learning situation.
Class attendance: Parents are not required to attend class regularly with their child. In some instances, however, they may asked to attend initially to become familiar with the goals of the course and to learn how to effectively support their child’s study at home.

• Tuition per Month $149.75
The tuition you pay reserves a place for your child in a weekly class. Therefore, there is no reduction in tuition for missed lessons. No refunds are avialable. Please call 24 hours in advance if the student will be absent. The teacher will then:
1) Call or e-mail concerning the assignment OR
2) Arrange for the student to participate in another class.
Cancellation Policy: In case of bad weather, The Hellert School will send an e-mail concerning cancellation.
For Your Child’s Protection : Please instruct your child to remain inside store until you pick him/her up personally. The Hellert School is not responsible for children who leave the store alone.
